Hello! I’m Josh and this blog is essentially aimed at providing fitness, nutrition and health tips and motivation. This is the first post ever.
Like a lot of people, I have always wanted to write a blog.
Before even thinking of writing a blog I was looking for a diet, exercise, and nutrition blog that had daily or bi-daily posts about things that I could apply to my daily life. Articles with things like simple diet and exercise tips, motivational stories, articles dissecting popular diets and exercise regimes. I was also looking for blogs posts about goal setting in the context of diet/fitness, posts about nutrition and (new) research on benefits of foods, and anything else that would help me in my quest to be more healthy and achieve my fitness goals. And I wanted all of this from the very popular GTD and with a simplicity flavor. There are a lot out there and I’m sure there are ones like what I was looking for but I couldn’t find them!
This got me thinking, maybe I should create a diet/fitness/nutrition blog.
I have lot of “useless knowledge” when it comes to the up and downs of dieting, nutrition, fitness, supplements, and all around health. However, I would not exactly call myself that “in shape”, fit, or thin. But I finally realized that the fact that I am struggling with these things too will make writing about them more interesting and helpful. My goal is then to write useful posts and help inspire and motivate people. If just one person learns something that they can apply to their life to make them healthier and hopefully happier, my goal will be fulfilled.
So what I am trying to do with this blog is provide the above. I am not an expert but I have been very interested in this sort of stuff for at least 10 years. I have “been around the block” within a wide range of diets, supplements/drugs, and exercise regimes. You name it and I probably have some sort of knowledge/opinion of it.
This first week will not be very jam packed with information as I try to hawk the blog around the web and get a couple readers. I’ll post my health, diet, fitness goals tomorrow and set the stage for frequent updates in my quest for longevity and happiness.
